About this Role

We are seeking a Network Operations Consultant to join our Dedicated Managed Services team and provide front-office technical support for premium customers with complex network environments and demanding service level agreements. This customer-facing role operates within a 24/7 shift-based environment and is responsible for fault management, service request coordination, incident triage, and stakeholder communication. The successful candidate will combine strong networking knowledge with excellent customer engagement skills, ensuring timely service restoration and an exceptional customer experience.

What you’ll do

  • Perform proactive analysis, incident triage, and initial diagnostics for service requests and network-related issues.
  • Support day-to-day Change Management and Fault Management activities in line with ITIL best practices.
  • Take ownership of service requests throughout the lifecycle and ensure adherence to agreed service level agreements.
  • Coordinate with technical support teams, vendors, and third-party partners for issue resolution and service request implementation.
  • Escalate incidents appropriately based on business impact and operational priorities.
  • Provide regular updates to customers regarding the progress of incidents, requests, and restoration activities.
  • Participate in customer bridge calls and troubleshooting discussions to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Manage multiple service requests simultaneously whilst maintaining service quality and responsiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with operational processes, governance frameworks, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective issue management and communication.

Who you are

  • Degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) or a related technical discipline.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge is desirable.
  • Approximately one year of experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or technical support environment.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS-IS.
  • Understanding of LAN switching technologies, including VLANs, Trunking, STP and PVST.
  • Familiarity with WAN technologies such as ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, HDLC and PPP.
  • Exposure to MPLS fundamentals, including LDP, TDP and Traffic Engineering, is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a logical and methodical approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptable, quick to learn, and able to respond effectively to changing situations.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift-based operational environment.
