About this Role

We are seeking a Network Consultant to provide customer-facing technical support within a global service desk environment, supporting premium customers with complex network solutions and stringent service level agreements. This role operates in a 24/7 shift-based environment and is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in networking and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

  • Perform proactive diagnostics and fault analysis, including root cause analysis for network alarms.
  • Support day-to-day operations through effective change and fault management aligned to ITIL standards.
  • Take ownership of incidents across their lifecycle, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs.
  • Coordinate ticket transfers to appropriate technical teams for timely resolution.
  • Maintain strict adherence to defined process frameworks and escalation protocols.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners based on issue priority and customer impact.
  • Evaluate business impact of incidents and initiate timely escalation where required.
  • Provide regular updates to customers and participate in troubleshooting or escalation bridge calls.
  • Manage multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining effective queue management.

Who you are

  • An individual with a degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) and a strong technical foundation in networking.
  • Certified in CCNA (mandatory), with exposure to CCNP or advanced networking considered advantageous.
  • Experienced in network operations centre (NOC) environments with hands-on exposure to routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS), LAN switching, and WAN technologies.
  • Skilled in customer communication with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in multitasking, with a structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting.
  • A collaborative team contributor who adapts effectively to dynamic and high-pressure environments.
  • A continuous learner with the ability to respond to evolving technologies and business requirements.
