About this Role
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable professional to support 24/7 network alarm monitoring and carrier coordination within international network operations. This role focuses on maintaining network availability, managing incidents, and ensuring timely communication with carriers and internal teams to deliver a consistent and reliable customer experience.
What you’ll do
- Monitor network alarms and alerts continuously and acknowledge events using monitoring tools
- Raise, manage, and update incident tickets, ensuring accurate routing to resolving teams
- Perform initial troubleshooting and validate alerts through databases, NMS/EMS, and network changes
- Coordinate with telecom carriers, raise tickets, follow up proactively, and escalate as per defined processes
- Provide dedicated monitoring support for critical customers and perform regular health checks (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Handle hotline calls and shared mailboxes, ensuring timely responses
- Conduct basic service impact assessments and support restoration actions
- Work collaboratively in a 24x7 shift-based environment to maintain service continuity
Who you are
- Experienced in telecommunications with a solid understanding of transmission technologies such as SDH/SONET, OTN, Ethernet, and DWDM
- Knowledgeable in optical fibre networks, alarm types, and troubleshooting techniques
- Familiar with NMS/EMS systems, monitoring tools, and ticketing platforms
- Competent in using diagnostic tools such as OTDR, RTU, or BERT
- Comfortable working under pressure with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- A confident communicator, able to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Familiar with change management processes and basic IP networking concepts
- Committed to continuous learning and maintaining high service quality standards
