About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Security & Cisco ISE Specialist to support and enhance critical operational support systems and network security platforms within a global telecommunications environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, performance, and continuous improvement of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), authentication platforms, and associated network security solutions. The successful candidate will work across multiple technologies, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and customer-focused services while driving automation, operational excellence, and digital transformation initiatives.

What you’ll do

Manage, configure, upgrade, and maintain Cisco ISE environments, including policies, command sets, dictionaries, patches, and domain onboarding activities.Administer authentication and access management platforms, ensuring effective policy enforcement and secure user, device, and network provisioning.Integrate security platforms with external technologies such as SIEM, LDAP, MFA, TACACS+, and monitoring solutions.Support network security technologies including DDoS protection platforms, RPKI, authentication systems, and operational assurance tools.Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, review logs, and deliver timely service restoration within agreed service levels.Develop and utilise automation capabilities through APIs and scripting to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.Coordinate application lifecycle activities including upgrades, testing, production deployments, maintenance, and change management.Collaborate with network, engineering, infrastructure, vendor, and operational teams to support platform enhancements and service improvements.Monitor service health, security posture, vulnerabilities, dashboards, alerts, and key operational metrics.Produce operational reports, maintain technical documentation, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.Support hardware lifecycle activities including performance monitoring, asset tracking, warranty coordination, and vendor engagement.Contribute to the adoption of emerging technologies, including software-defined networking and modern network automation capabilities.

Who you are

Experience working within telecommunications, network operations, operational support systems, or network security environments.Hands-on expertise in Cisco ISE administration, configuration management, policy creation, and operational support.Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, access control, and identity management technologies.Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and exposure to automation, scripting, or API-based integrations.Familiarity with security technologies such as multi-factor authentication, DDoS protection, vulnerability management, and SIEM platforms.Understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including SNMP, ICMP, and network device management.Experience analysing technical issues, interpreting data, and delivering effective incident resolution.Knowledge of information security governance, compliance requirements, and operational best practices.Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.Professional certification in Cisco ISE or a related network security discipline is advantageous.Experience working within IT or telecommunications environments is preferred.Flexibility to support 24x7 rotating operational requirements.
