About this Role

We are seeking an experienced operations support professional to join our telecoms and cloud services environment. This role focuses on supporting Unix/Linux-based platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure while ensuring high service quality across telecom and data services. The individual will work closely with stakeholders in a dynamic, multicultural setting, contributing to operational excellence, service reliability, and continuous improvement aligned with organisational goals.

What you will do

  • Provide technical operations support across Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Support databases using OCI, SQL and PostgreSQL (psql) with a focus on stability and performance.
  • Work with Master Data Management (MDM) technologies to support data integrity and service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage systems using tools such as Nagios and Dynatrace to ensure availability and performance.
  • Handle incident, problem and change management activities using Remedy 9 in line with ITIL practices.
  • Support file transfers using FTP/SFTP and manage secure data exchanges.
  • Manage and troubleshoot DNS-related issues across environments.
  • Collaborate using platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint to maintain documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Support web applications by applying an understanding of web technologies and development concepts.
  • Translate organisational goals into operational objectives related to quality, speed, dependability, flexibility and cost.
  • Continuously monitor and improve operational performance while working effectively under pressure in a customer-focused environment.

Who you are

  • The candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • They bring 2–3 years of experience in IT or VAS environments with a technical support operations background.
  • They have hands-on experience with Unix/Linux platforms and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • They demonstrate strong working knowledge of telecoms and data services support.
  • They are comfortable working with monitoring, collaboration and secure access tools such as Nagios, Dynatrace, WinSCP and PuTTY.
  • They understand ITIL Foundation principles and apply structured service management practices.
  • They communicate confidently in conversational English and work effectively within multicultural teams.
  • They are adaptable, resilient, customer-oriented and able to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
