About this Role

We are seeking a RAN & Transmission Planning Engineer to manage and execute network planning activities across Radio Access Network, Access Transmission and Fixed Digital domains. You will implement market-requested updates within Planning Inventory tools, support data commissioning and apply scripting to automate planning activities. This role is based in Bangalore and works closely with Configuration, Operations and Market Unit teams to deliver accurate network changes in line with agreed procedures, service-level agreements and performance targets.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and execute planning activities across RAN, Access Transmission and Fixed Digital networks.
  • Implement regional market requirements and approved changes within Planning Inventory tools. 
  • Review planning requests for accuracy, completeness and readiness before implementation.
  • Prepare and execute planning data changes in accordance with established procedures, quality requirements, service-level agreements and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and apply Python, SQL or Shell scripting to automate planning tasks and data updates.
  • Support data commissioning and enable the smooth integration and activation of network elements. 
  • Collaborate with Configuration, Operations, Market Units and other cross-functional teams to implement network changes effectively.
  • Maintain accurate planning documentation and support audit readiness.
  • Put customers first, adapt effectively to change, deliver results and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Who you are

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • You have at least six years of relevant experience in RAN and Transmission network planning or configuration.
  • You understand mobile network architecture across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G, together with transmission technologies and Fixed Digital networks. 
  • You have practical experience with Mobile Cramer and network Planning Inventory tools such as Cramer and ANN. 
  • You understand RAN technologies, particularly 2G, 4G and 5G.
  • You have knowledge of SDH transmission and IP technology, supported by CCNA-level knowledge or an equivalent capability. 
  • You can use Python, SQL, Shell or comparable technologies to script and automate data-processing activities. 
  • You bring analytical and structured problem-solving skills, together with effective communication and coordination capabilities.
  • You can work collaboratively across technical, operational and market-facing teams while maintaining data quality and process compliance.
