About this Role
We are seeking a Roaming Network Operations Engineer to provide 24x7 first line support for Vodafone’s International Roaming Platform. This role focuses on alarm monitoring, incident and fault management, and first-level triage while ensuring seamless coordination with resolver teams. The individual will support a diverse set of roaming services including SS7 signalling, LTE/5G signalling, VoLTE, CAMEL, and value-added services such as Steering of Roaming (SoR), Virtual Home Environment (VHE), and Welcome Roaming SMS (WRSMS), delivering reliable connectivity across global Vodafone markets
What you’ll do
Monitor and troubleshoot international roaming services to ensure uninterrupted network performance
• Manage incidents proactively and reactively within defined SLAs to support optimal customer experience
• Perform first-level triage, diagnostics, and coordination across multiple resolver teams
• Analyse network KPIs and investigate quality degradation and customer complaints
• Support automation initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities to reduce manual effort
• Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and service reliability
Who you are
Experience: 2–4 years in roaming technologies or telecom core network operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Educational background: Engineering graduate
• Technical expertise in core network technologies such as SS7, SMS/SMPP, LTE
• Working knowledge of core platforms including STP and DRA/DEA
• Understanding of roaming platform integration with traditional telecom networks (2G/3G/4G/VoLTE)
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, 24x7 support environment with collaborative working style
