About this Role

We are seeking an SAP CPI & API Management Integration Engineer to design, build and support complex enterprise integrations across SAP and non-SAP landscapes. The role involves developing iFlows using SAP CPI, managing API exposure through APIM, ensuring robust security practices, resolving incidents, optimising performance, and contributing to successful project delivery through strong analytical and technical capabilities.

What you’ll do

Design and develop complex Integration Flows (iFlows) in SAP CPI for A2A and B2B scenarios.Create and manage proxies to expose backend services using SAP API Management.Integrate SAP solutions (including S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba) with external systems using adapters such as SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, JDBC, and SFTP.Develop Groovy scripts, XSLT, mappings, and perform transformations across XML, JSON and CSV formats.Configure and maintain security components including certificates (TLS), OAuth, SAML, PGP and Cloud Connector.Monitor CPI runtime components, analyse payloads, troubleshoot integration issues and drive performance optimisation.Facilitate UAT cycles, resolve integration incidents and guide junior colleagues to enhance team capability.Apply integration best practices, strengthen error handling, ensure compliance with data governance and contribute to high-quality solution delivery.

Who you are

Strong hands-on expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), including participants, processes, routing and persistence concepts.Practical experience with key adapters including OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, JDBC, SFTP and SuccessFactors.Proficiency in Groovy scripting for integration logic and transformation.Advanced understanding of XML, JSON, XSLT and related data structures.Solid grasp of security standards and protocols such as SSL, OAuth and SAML.Familiarity with SAP API Management, SAP Integration Advisor and Cloud Connector.Knowledge of SuccessFactors APIs (SFAPI, Compound Employee API, Employee Central).Strong communication, collaborative working style and problem-solving mindset.Advantageous: Experience migrating integrations from SAP PI/PO to CPI and relevant SAP CPI certification.
