About this Role

We are seeking a SOX Compliance Specialist to ensure Vodafone’s IT and security environments remain fully compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. This role focuses on executing and improving internal controls, supporting audit readiness, and managing User Access Management (UAM) processes such as Joiner, Leaver, and Permanent Review cycles. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, monitor, and enhance SOX controls, ensuring compliance integrity across global operations.

What you’ll do

  • Execute and monitor SOX controls across the VCI environment.
  • Support compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist in performing SOX control activities and maintaining audit documentation and evidence.
  • Manage UAM processes including Joiner, Leaver, and Permanent Review cycles.
  • Conduct quality checks on access requests to ensure alignment with SOX and security standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders during audits.
  • Drive remediation efforts for identified deficiencies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with global and local UAM teams.
  • Support design, documentation, and execution of SOX and UAM controls for IT services and cloud projects.
  • Perform quality assurance on UAM requests (CUAR and Remedy entries).
  • Improve SOX and UAM processes through automation and simplification.
  • Provide guidance to operational and governance teams on SOX requirements.
  • Develop and maintain SOX documentation, templates, and UAM policies.
  • Monitor data quality and consistency in CUAR and ARC applications.
  • Generate operational reports and analysis for decision-making.
  • Deliver training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities for UAM teams.
  • Manage escalations and ad-hoc requests related to UAM and SOX compliance.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree (mandatory); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications: ISO27001, CISA, or CISM (mandatory); CSOXI/SOX404 preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in SOX compliance and control design.
  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting internal/external audits and security audits.
  • Good understanding of cloud foundational services (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
  • Familiarity with Risk Control Matrix (RCM), Cloud Security Alliance controls, and ITIL frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
  • Proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in coordinating virtual teams and strong project management skills.
