About this Role

We are seeking a skilled SQL & ETL Developer to join our Data & Analytics team supporting the VF-Qatar project. This role involves designing and implementing robust ETL processes, developing and optimising SQL queries, and maintaining relational databases. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions and support data analysis and reporting initiatives. The position is based in Pune, Bangalore, or Ahmedabad and may require rare travel.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and scripts using tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or Talend.
  • Monitor and optimise ETL job performance for scalability and efficiency.
  • Create and manage relational database structures including tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Perform database administration tasks including backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with data architects and developers to ensure optimal database integration.
  • Translate business data requirements into technical specifications.
  • Provide accurate and timely data to support reporting and analytics.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL and database processes.

Who you are

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in SQL, PL/SQL, ETL development, and data analysis.
  • Proficient in Unix and Python (as secondary skills).
  • Graduate or Postgraduate in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Team-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and a drive for process improvement.
  • Experience working in large, global organisations with complex system landscapes.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and software development lifecycle.
