About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Architect to join the VOIS Cyber Security global service line, specialising in Application In‑Life Assessment (AILA). The individual will conduct detailed architecture and security reviews of Vodafone products and services, ensuring compliance with global security policies, standards, and controls. This role demands deep technical expertise across multiple cyber security domains, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to drive process improvements and strategic initiatives. The position also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing trusted advisory support while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you will do

  • Deliver end‑to‑end Application In‑Life Assessments, ensuring thorough evaluation of security risks, architectural robustness, and compliance.
  • Serve as part of the AILA leadership team, offering expertise to guide security and risk management decisions.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear security requirements for projects and solutions.
  • Review solution designs and recommend secure, compliant, and risk-appropriate architectures aligned with Vodafone policies and industry best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and enhance security controls using pre‑defined frameworks and methodologies.
  • Engage with global stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and expectation management.
  • Coordinate process setup activities and drive new initiatives aimed at optimising operational efficiency across teams.
  • Escalate risks and issues proactively to relevant stakeholders and leadership.
  • Apply structured problem-solving to complex security challenges, using clear and innovative approaches.

Who you are

  • Extensive (10–15 years) experience across IT security, including security architecture, perimeter security, firewalls, VPNs, proxy technologies, and network engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of information security risk assessment across cloud, data centre, and application environments.
  • Familiarity with OWASP principles, Security by Design concepts, and risk frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO31001, NIST 800‑53, OWASP, and other industry frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with experience influencing across multiple organisational levels.
  • Skilled in translating complex information into clear reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience simplifying, structuring, and solving complex problems in dynamic environments.
  • Understanding of security controls and their organisational importance.
  • Desirable: Cybersecurity certifications (CISA, CISM, ISO standards), knowledge of NIST SP 800‑37/COBIT 5, data privacy frameworks including GDPR, telecom industry experience, and ITIL/SCRUM/Lean Six Sigma certifications.
