About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Domain Architect specialising in Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to lead the design, transformation and delivery of scalable cloud-native data solutions. Based in Pune, India, this role is responsible for shaping cloud architecture strategy, driving migration and modernisation initiatives, establishing governance frameworks, and providing technical leadership across enterprise-scale programmes. The successful candidate will combine extensive experience in cloud architecture, EDW platforms, and GCP technologies to deliver secure, resilient, and cost-efficient solutions that support business and technology objectives.

What you’ll do

 

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-native architectures on GCP.
  • Analyse business and technical requirements to develop effective cloud-based and data-centric solutions.
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives including lift-and-shift, modernisation, and greenfield implementations.
  • Collaborate with application development, operations, and security teams to deliver high-quality cloud-native applications.
  • Establish cloud governance models and ensure compliance with security, operational, and cost management policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud services, technologies, and platform capabilities aligned with business needs.
  • Optimise enterprise data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency using GCP-native services, Terraform, and monitoring tools.
  • Drive innovation through proof-of-concepts and evaluations of new cloud technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Own end-to-end application scoping, architecture planning, development oversight, and delivery quality.
  • Support project planning activities, including technical estimation and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to organisational excellence through process adoption, resource optimisation, tool adoption, and continuous quality improvement.

Who you are

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture and engineering, including significant exposure to GCP environments.
  • Strong background in Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) architecture and engineering.
  • Proven experience leading architecture practices across domains such as EDW, GCP, AWS, and enterprise platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Dataproc, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
  • Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, containerisation, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and cloud performance optimisation.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools, including HashiCorp Vault.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead technical teams, influence architectural decisions, and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Overall industry experience of approximately 18-23 years, with extensive experience in architecture leadership roles.
