About this Role

We are seeking a data science and advanced analytics professional to deliver analytical and decision-support services for Vodafone businesses worldwide. Based in Pune, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and internal teams to understand business challenges, agree project scope and outcomes, and develop structured, data-backed solutions that create measurable business value. You will apply established solutions where appropriate, improve delivery efficiency and explore evolving analytical techniques and technologies.

This role is suited to someone with practical experience in Python, machine learning, statistical analysis and large-scale data manipulation who can clearly communicate analytical findings to business audiences

What you’ll do

Support the development and deployment of descriptive, inferential, predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions, including models, hypotheses, analyses and scenarios.
Translate business challenges into clearly defined analytical requirements, deliverables, processes and expected outcomes.
Use existing data models, insights and analyses from across Vodafone to support positive business outcomes.
Develop predictive models and other analytical solutions that contribute to measurable business impact.
Improve analytical delivery through automation, standardisation and the reuse or redesign of existing solutions.
Analyse structured and unstructured datasets containing tens of millions of records.
Apply techniques such as machine learning, deep learning, clustering, segmentation, binary and multi-class classification, forecasting and regression modelling.
Visualise analytical results and present clear, actionable findings to business stakeholders.
Set clear expectations and provide stakeholders with a straightforward, collaborative experience.
Create reusable analytical products supported by appropriate documentation and, where relevant, training.

Who you are

You have at least two years of practical experience in data science and analytics.
You have hands-on Python experience, including at least six months of work on live projects.
You understand a range of machine learning, analytical and statistical techniques.
You have worked on at least three modelling projects across different business areas, including predictive modelling projects with measurable commercial impact.
You are confident manipulating and analysing very large structured and unstructured datasets.
You can communicate complex analytical concepts clearly and present findings effectively to business project leads and stakeholders.
You bring a flexible, practical and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Experience with R, SAS, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Hadoop, Hive or Pig would be beneficial.
Previous experience in the telecommunications sector would be advantageous.
You have a relevant graduate qualification and a sound academic record.
