Role
Responsible for reporting of the operating cost by enquiring/identifying & finalizing journal entries of telecom business identify prepayments & track amortization, perform monthly BS reconciliation for current assets/liabilities, ledger Vs Sub-ledger & Intercompany. Adhere to the month close calendar timeliness with accuracy of Journals, Reconciliations and reports to be shared with the partners. Maintain ledger accuracy for of assigned BS accounts by identifying open/unreconciled transactions; determine appropriate action, take continues-effective follow up & resolve this in shortest time.
Engage the finance business partners and onshore partners to deliver the business needs along with delivery of agreed KPIs.
Key Accountabilities (Role Description):• Ensure reporting of the operating cost by enquiring-identifying, prepare & post journal entries of business are completed in line with the month end timetable.
• Understand accruals proposed by business & also recommend accruals on your own for improving accuracy of financials.
• Management of Standing (Recurring) & reversing journals.
• Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations in given timeline, along with documenting continues & effective follow up for resolving it within a month/ at the earliest possible.
• Responsible for managing end to end intercompany accounting to get both receivables & payables booked on time.
• Liaise with global Intercompany partners, confirmation of balances and preparation of monthly accruals.
• Ensure minimal intercompany difference over the period.
• Run monthly payroll runs in Oracle & ensure accuracy with timely delivery & timely reconciliations.
• Monitor vendors balances aging, push AP & related teams to maintain appropriate aging & avoid any debit balance situation by BS recon & continues follow up.
• Adhere to the business processes, business rules, authority levels and SLAs & risk controls while performing regular work.
• Journal Entries, BS Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, Business Analysis, Process improvements & relationship development.
• Have got implacable impact on local market’s financial statement, their internal processes & major role in achieving motive of OPEX Accounting function.
• Regular interaction with internal teams, Payroll, Commercial, Vodafone Intercompany partners and local market colleagues.
• Ensure that all team-based tasks are completed with accuracy and timeliness, all processing routines adhere to approval requirements, integrity levels, use of best practice and their meeting of specified Service Level Agreements

• Respond to and take ownership of any issue relating to day-to-day activities
• Plan and manage the month end and year end processes and reconcile ledger balances accordingly
• Challenge the status Quo and proactively provide the ideas for improvement of the process
• Be the change agent and suggest ways to improve the process which will impact the business needs
• Bring in ideas to simplify and standardize the activities for raising the benchmark for team activities

Knowledge and Experience
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Reporting and MIS Skills along with good analytical skill
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Graduate/Post-Graduate in Commerce
• Knowledge of Australian Telecom Industry
