About this Role
What you will do
- Maintain Teradata environments supporting critical business applications.
- Ensure correct database configuration and document all infrastructure changes.
- Resolve incident and problem tickets, and fulfil service requests from first-level support and other teams.
- Support migration of new or updated software and perform production checks.
- Manage system performance, stability, and reliability.
- Focus on performance tuning and share best practice recommendations.
- Publish daily, weekly, and monthly status reports for users and IT stakeholders.
- Provide support for scheduled activities, including release support and production changes.
Who you are
- In-depth knowledge of Teradata architecture.
- Experience in Application DBA and Operations DBA tasks such as user management, space management, access grants/revoke, and DDL/DML reviews.
- Hands-on experience with backup and restore using DSA utility.
- Knowledge of Linux and Python scripting.
- Strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently with attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude and readiness to take initiative.
- University degree in full-time education.
- Up to 2 years’ experience as a Teradata DBA.
- Understanding of ETL and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Nice to have: Teradata Vantage Certification.
