Job Role

Role purpose:  
The Radical Simplification & Automation team with VOIS acts as the Centre of Excellence to drive the digital and automation transformation path for Vodafone Markets.  This is a critical function to move Vodafone Markets from a transaction-based operation to a highly automated insight- and data-driven organization.

The Business Automation Lead role will involve working with Product Owners, business users and functional / technical experts to translate business opportunities into a high-level technical analytics and automation solutions.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Work with Product Owners, business users and functional / technical experts to translate business opportunities into a high level, technical, analytics and automation solutions.
  • Act as the interface between the Product Owner and Solution Architecture / Design to document requirements and user stories.
  • Contribute to business case quantification.
  • Creation and definition of key performance indictors to measure the business value delivered by automation and analytics initiatives.
  • Validation of high-level designs, deliverables, and timelines to meet business expectations.
  • Validation and communication of value delivered by analytics and automation solutions.
  • Represent the Radical Simplification and Automation team in internal and external forums, promoting and driving a Vodafone Local Markets analytics and automation strategy
  • Excellent Exposure to Various Telecom Process and Experience with Various CRM, OSS/ BSS, and Automation Suites

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Accountable for the translation of business opportunities into a high level, technical, analytics and automation solution which is signed off by a Product Owner.
  • Responsible for clear and seamless communication between business users and IT Solution Architects and Designers.
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivered analytics and automation solutions meet the expected business benefits.
  • Working cross functionally to bring cultural change within the organization.
  • Train others to increase organizational capability and ensuring everyone ‘speaks the same language’ through the application of common standards
  • Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience of solving business problems with analytics and automation solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of working with a broad cross section of business users.
  • Can bring high energy and has a strong sense of ownership.
  • Project Management experience, especially in managing multi-functional teams and holding others to account.
  • Strong commercial skills, able to evaluate and measure business value and ROI
