About this Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead with deep expertise in SAP ABAP, Advanced ABAP, SAP PI/CPI integration, and full-stack SAP development. The individual will provide end‑to‑end technical leadership across design, development, integration, governance, and delivery for large-scale SAP programmes. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, experience mentoring technical teams, and the ability to represent delivery in senior stakeholder forums.

What you’ll do

• Lead SAP ABAP and Advanced ABAP development activities, including RICEFW objects, OO ABAP, CDS Views, RAP, OData, AMDP, workflows, and performance optimisation.
• Deliver full-stack SAP development projects involving Fiori/UI5, backend ABAP components, SAP BTP services, and multiple integration scenarios.
• Own solution design, effort estimation, proposal creation, and VROM/VMC submissions for strategic initiatives.
• Drive automation and innovation-driven development to enhance efficiency and improve user experience.
• Manage and mentor a team of around 10 technical consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery and effective allocation of tasks.
• Represent the technical team in forums such as TDA calls, ITPM discussions, SPDA/security reviews, and change management boards.
• Ensure robust delivery governance through proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies.
• Act as the primary technical contact for various stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
• Contribute to capability building, hiring, and ongoing competency development across SAP technologies.

Who you are

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in SAP development with deep expertise in ABAP, Advanced ABAP, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, CDS, RAP, OData, AMDP, and workflow.
• Strong experience across multiple full SAP implementation cycles and enterprise-grade SAP programmes.
• Exposure to full-stack SAP development combining Fiori/UI5, ABAP backend, SAP BTP services, and integration layers.
• Working knowledge of SAP PI/CPI for SAP and non-SAP integrations.
• Demonstrated delivery excellence in solution design, automation, estimation, and governance processes including VROM, VMC, and TDA.
• Strong stakeholder management with clear, engaging communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of ITPM, SPDA and change governance frameworks.
• Desired: Experience with Clean Core methodologies, API-first design, Event Mesh, Pub/Sub models, event-driven architecture, and SAP BTP workflow and extension capabilities.
• Desired: Exposure to security and compliance requirements in SAP delivery and a record of innovation and automation-led improvements.
