About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master and Technical Delivery Lead with a strong background in Agile methodologies, software engineering, cloud technologies, and people leadership. This role combines hands-on technical contribution with Agile delivery leadership, enabling teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders while supporting development, testing, and DevOps teams. Approximately 80% of the role focuses on technology leadership and delivery, with 20% dedicated to Scrum facilitation and people management.

What you’ll do

 

  • Lead Agile delivery teams and ensure adherence to Scrum principles and Agile best practices.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Remove delivery impediments and support teams in maintaining consistent progress towards sprint and programme objectives.
  • Coach developers, testers, and DevOps engineers to improve collaboration, productivity, and delivery outcomes.
  • Manage and support a team of 10+ professionals across development, testing, and DevOps functions.
  • Drive continuous delivery practices and promote automation across the software development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain Agile delivery artefacts including burn-down charts, backlog maps, sprint metrics, and KPI dashboards.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure timely, secure, and high-quality delivery of solutions in line with agreed KPIs and business objectives.
  • Contribute directly to software development and solution implementation activities.
  • Design technical solutions, prepare high-level design (HLD) documentation, and conduct code reviews.
  • Align team objectives with organisational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Support cloud-native application development and delivery using AWS technologies.

Who you are

 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrable experience creating and managing burn-down charts, backlog maps, and other Agile metrics.
  • Strong experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovation capabilities.
  • Experience leading and developing teams of 10 or more professionals.
  • Ability to mentor and coach software developers, testers, and DevOps engineers.
  • Strong technical background in:
    • React.js
    • Node.js
    • Java and/or C#
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
  • Experience working with:
    • Jenkins
    • Maven
    • GitHub and/or GitLab

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of application and cloud security practices.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies and tooling.
  • Familiarity with software delivery governance and operational excellence frameworks.
