About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and DigitalONE/Amdocs solutions to support the design, development and delivery of scalable telecom applications. This role combines hands-on engineering with business and technical analysis responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts and technology stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating business requirements into robust backend solutions that support telecom product, catalogue and order management processes while ensuring high standards of performance, reliability and maintainability.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs and microservices using Core Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Analyse business requirements and functional specifications to define backend service, integration and API requirements aligned with enterprise objectives.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical designs and reusable backend components for DigitalONE/Amdocs solutions.
  • Support the delivery, configuration and integration of DigitalONE/Amdocs applications, particularly within telecom product, catalogue, order capture and order handling domains.
  • Act as the backend technology representative for business and IT stakeholders during solution design and delivery activities.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support containerised deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Git and Maven/Gradle.
  • Ensure backend solutions meet business objectives and adhere to engineering best practices for security, reliability, monitoring and performance optimisation.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, DevOps, QA, Operations and Architecture teams to deliver solutions in an Agile environment.
  • Contribute to technical decision-making and stakeholder discussions to drive successful solution outcomes.
  • Support deployment planning, operational readiness activities and ongoing application improvements.

Who you are

  • 6 to 10 years of hands-on backend development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, Git and Maven/Gradle.
  • Hands-on experience with DigitalONE/Amdocs tools and a good understanding of telecom product, catalogue and order management processes.
  • Experience acting as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, collaboration and decision-making skills.
  • Good understanding of SQL, database technologies, API security, authentication, authorisation, logging, monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models and cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to Telecom BSS/OSS environments, particularly Amdocs DigitalONE Order Capture and Order Handling modules.
  • Professional background in technical analysis, solution design and telecom business processes.
