About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead Acceptance Testing services for Vodafone Germany within VOIS. Based in Pune, this role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of testing activities across multiple programmes and domains, driving quality, governance, stakeholder management, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will lead large testing teams, define and implement testing strategies, and ensure testing deliverables are completed to agreed quality, cost, and timeline commitments.

What you’ll do

Lead all testing deliverables and oversee execution against agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Manage multiple projects and programmes across diverse testing domains.Lead and develop a team of approximately 20 direct reports and manage larger extended delivery teams of up to 30–50 resources.Define, implement, and continuously improve test strategies, methodologies, standards, and governance frameworks.Translate business and service owner requirements into comprehensive testing plans and ensure successful execution.Take ownership of all testing phases and coordinate end-to-end testing activities.Review and approve testing deliverables, test milestones, estimates, schedules, resource requirements, and budgets.Manage testing risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations to ensure successful programme delivery.Oversee test environments, tools, configuration management activities, and defect management processes.Drive service transitions and the introduction of new testing services.Identify opportunities to optimise testing processes, increase efficiency, and improve service delivery outcomes.Manage service reporting, governance meetings, test reviews, and exit boards.Partner closely with Vodafone stakeholders, vendors, delivery teams, and service owners to ensure alignment and delivery success.Support resource planning, recruitment, capability development, forecasting, budgeting, and demand management activities.Review estimations and work products produced by Test Leads and Test Managers, ensuring quality and consistency across delivery.

Who you are

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in software testing within Telecommunications environments, including Billing, Mediation, CRM, Online Media, Web, or WAP platforms.Proven experience leading testing functions within a Testing Centre of Excellence (CoE) or similar environment.ISTQB Practitioner certification (or equivalent recognised accreditation).Strong expertise in Telecom BSS/OSS testing and Acceptance Testing services.Good understanding of the eTOM framework and telecommunications business processes.Extensive experience with test methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.Hands-on knowledge of HP Quality Centre, IBM Rational toolsets, Functional Suite tools, and BMC Remedy.Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across global and matrix organisations.Experience managing geographically distributed and multicultural teams.Strong financial awareness, including resource planning, forecasting, budgeting, and project cost management.Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.Fluent English communication skills.Ability to travel internationally, including occasional travel within Europe.Demonstrates VOIS values of Speed, Simplicity, Trust, Innovation, Customer Obsession, Ambition, and One Company Local Roots.
