Role purpose:
Responsible for the design, implementation and evolution of the current and the future Managed File Transfer/Conversion Product technologies.
Lead assessments, design and technical implementation activities related to Managed File Transfer/Conversion Products. Provides new solution concepts and technical roadmaps based on customer, service, network and security requirements.
Be an active part of the design authority to deliver significant improvements across the Managed File Transfer/Conversion Products estate.
Act as a SPOC for planned releases and relevant changes and provide support for Security inquiries and in major incidents.
Provide technical consultancy, support and guidance for all stakeholders.
What you will do
• Managed File Transfer Products strategy development, product and solution decisions, Product implementations and integrations.
• Design authority for Managed File Transfer solutions.
• Working closely with the product/solution owner, other design authorities, security and operational teams to ensure robust and future-proof solutions based on business, security and technical needs.
• Perform requirement analysis for Managed File Transfer Products with customers and stakeholders.
• Assessment and identification of Managed File Transfer solutions.
• Provide High Level, Low Level and Integration Design for Managed File Transfer solutions.
• Provide Operation Integration Manuals for Managed File Transfer solutions.
• Support regular operation reviews to understand common issues and provide solutions.
• CoE for Managed File Transfer/Conversion capacity planning/management
What sets you apart
• Managed File Transfer Solutions/Techniques in general:
e.g., sFTP, AS2, X.400, Connect:Direct and comparable commercial products.
• Virtualization Solutions/Techniques:
e.g., VMWare, Kubernetes (containerization), Docker and VMWare tools
• Client/Server architecture for service integrations
• IT and Network Security: general knowledge required + access security.
• Network Solutions/Techniques: general knowledge required.
• IT / Data Center landscape including hardware, software, network (real, virtual, cloud, hybrid): general knowledge required.
• Solution Life Cycle Management.
• Ability to develop programs in Perl/Shell/Phyton/etc.
• General IT skills regarding integrations, i.e. Database, API, Active Directory, etc.
• Troubleshooting skills for issues related to network, server-misconfigurations, product-bugs.
• Advanced /Profound knowledge of the SEEBURGER Products (e.g.: BIS Integration Server, BIS FileExchange server, BIS Information Server, BIS Portal Server, BIS Developer Studio …
• General standard conversion: EDIFACT, e-invoicing.
• Thorough knowledge of system architecture, analysis and design techniques.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• 5+ years’ experience working as an Application Technical Architect or in similar role.
• 5+ years’ experience with Managed File Transfer and Conversion technologies.
• Profound knowledge in IT delivery projects from application integration point of view.
• Deep knowledge of File Transfer/ Conversion technologies/solutions in the market.
• Experience in design, integration and deployment of large-scale IT services in multi-national environments.
• Experience in managing 3rd party vendors.
• Strong knowledge in management and design of high complex IT services/Product.
• Deep understanding of operational procedures and process standards (e.g., ITIL, SCRUM, SAFe) and the ability to apply them for continuous service improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills.
