Overview

Role purpose:
Finance Business Partner for the VBI APAC & ME Fixed business supporting the VBI APAC&ME Sales and Finance Team, reporting to the APAC Senior Finance Business Partner, driving business performance to meet and exceed financial targets and optimize business processes.

Working closely with Sales, Service, Commercials and Projects teams, this role provides support to the Planning, Reporting and Analysis of the Region’s financial results establishing and maintaining effective processes, supporting commercial decision-making, and providing insight into customer profitability.
 

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 
•    Report and act as ‘translator’ with timely financial and commercial insights and analysis to articulate performance to Business Leads and provide guidance to Sales teams on targeted commitments required to deliver financial targets
•    Deliver quarterly forecasts and yearly budget, challenge business Leads on appropriate performance targets, advise on planning assumptions, opportunities and risks, and track gaps and advise business on mitigation plans to ensure profitability meets forecast
•    Develop an understanding of business performance drivers to deliver measurable improvement – TCV/AOV, revenue, cost of sales (including cost and revenue assurance) and WIP and pipeline management. 
•    Partner and engage across the wider business to drive financial performance and accurate reporting of VGE APAC business units.
•    Understand cost of sales processes and levers to drive improvement initiatives, working cross functionally utilising all available resources
•    Work closely with the VOIS team and Fin Ops team for month end performance, cost reviews and reporting (Manage a team of 2 VOIS resources directly supporting the role)

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
•    8+ years working in a multi-functional and complex corporate matrix environment
•    Engaging, intellectually curious, challenges existing thinking to initiate and embrace new ways of working, and able to see the bigger picture
•    Polished professional, comfortable speaking to and interacting with and challenging all levels of stakeholders to explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences.
•    Proactive, with experience of driving change, implementing complex projects that improve results
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, financial modelling and attention to detail

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    Graduate, CPA/MBA or equivalent qualified or with considerable depth of experience in Finance and/or Commercial analysis
•    Advanced Excel, and SAP with extensive experience in progressive financial planning, financial systems, and financial analysis
•    Articulate communicator, able to explain complex data to senior stakeholders and non-finance teams, both written and verbal
