Role purpose: To perform assigned accounting and control transaction processing responsibilities in accordance with defined operating procedures. To maintain accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, fixed asset, intercompany and chart of accounting records, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.

Job Responsibility


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Established professional who works in an autonomous way, performing accounting activities requiring insight and depth of understanding.
  • May be specialized in any of the following areas: general ledger/ fixed asset accounting. 
  • Performs professional accounting work involving compilation and analysis of financial data, preparation of journal entries, fixed asset related accounting, understanding of trial balance or financial statements. 
  • Handles assignments involving analysis of data. Prepares reports and analyses as required. 
  • Work may involve all or some of the following: reconciliation of sub ledger and external systems to general ledger, posting of general ledger journals, posting of files produced by external systems to general ledger, creation & maintenance of asset master data, performing disposal related activities, monthly depreciation, running inventory reports and tracking assets, performing month end reporting, etc.

Key Job description:

  • Manage regular operation related to asset accounting like depreciation analysis, accrual & provision journals and smooth month end closure process
  • Creation of Assets and its coordination with LM
  • Recording of Disposal and its identification based on instruction from LM
  • Ensure timely and accurate closure of books 
  • Manage GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements
  • 100% compliance with Balance sheet reconciliation within timelines and quality
  • Ensuring timely creation and update of SOPs for all activities
  • 100% Adherence to KPIs/ SLA’s
  • Ensure a ‘customer centric’ and ‘partnership approach’ to develop strong relationships with other working groups
  • Interacts directly with the LM FinOps teams, Business Managers for inputs & query solving, Support the LM Team to ensure adequate support provided on timely basis
  • Support LM on interim and Half year /year end certification requirements
  • Deliver to agreed project deadlines including appropriate level of planning/integration
  • Complete audit support & query handling for the Capex area

Must have Technical/Professional

  • Fluency in English and Greek Language 
  • Accounting knowledge
  • Computer skills (Word and advanced Excel), SAP/S4 Hana knowledge must
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Independency at work with a self-starter, proactive attitude with accuracy, attention to detail
  • Experience in a Shared Services environment is an advantage
