What will you do?

The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate tender activities while strategically enhancing Vodafone's tender processes, having a significant impact on the business. By prioritizing tenders based on commercial value, maintaining a structured pipeline, and collaborating with different stakeholders, this role ensures that tender strategies are aligned with Vodafone’s commercial objectives. Additionally, monitoring market trends and leading post-bid reviews to improve future tender success rates further underscores the critical influence this role has on driving Vodafone's success in the tender market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Tender Prioritization: Assess and prioritize tenders based on their commercial value, strategic fit, and feasibility, recommending where Vodafone should focus its efforts.
  • Proactive Pipeline Management: Maintain a structured pipeline of upcoming tenders and proactively alert stakeholders to key opportunities.
  • Enhanced Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with different stakeholders to shape tender strategies and ensure they align with Vodafone’s commercial objectives.
  • Public Tender Market Insights: Monitor market trends and provide regular insights on public sector tenders to the business teams, influencing the commercial strategy.
  • Post-Bid Analysis & Process Improvement: Lead post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and propose improvements to increase success rates in future tenders.
  • Public Platform Management: Oversee the usage of public platforms hosting bid processes.
  • Deadline Monitoring: Closely monitor deadlines, announce bids on time, and mobilize the Bid Working Group as needed.
  • Post-Win Coordination: Coordinate post-win activities to fulfil documentation requirements and conclude agreements.

  • Performance Reporting: Report periodically on the success ratio of public and private bids, proposing actions to improve this ratio.
  • Contract Follow-Up: Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in signed agreements.
  • Opportunity Analysis: Analyse missed opportunities to identify pain points and develop action plans to address them.

Who you are

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications or information technologies market.
  • Experience in working with Enterprise Customers in any level, directs sales or support functions.
  • Knowledge in contractual B2B terms and relations to assure optimal Customer Experience and mitigate frictions related to contract engagement.
  • Knowledge on the legal, regulatory and financial documents used in bids to qualify the company as a service provider.
  • A very good command of written and spoken English is essential.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills: Articulate technical and business information clearly to diverse stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment across teams.
  • University degree preferably in Business Administration, Legal or similar.
  • Previous experience with tenders.
  • Enjoy working with or adapting new technologies.

Key performance indicators:

  • Minimize number of rejections coming due to missing documentation and non-compliance to the bid criteria.
  • Maximize the number of wins.
  • Assure time management and efficient bid application process.
  • Reduced number of complaints on the bid process.
