About this Role
What you will do
Middleware and integration operations
- Own the operational health, availability, performance, resilience and supportability of Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, WebLogic and WCC platforms.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex middleware, integration, service orchestration and content-management incidents.
- Govern business-critical integration flows, messaging frameworks, service orchestration processes and enterprise content services.
- Drive capacity planning, performance optimisation and technology lifecycle management.
- Maintain service-level commitments across middleware and integration platforms.
Incident, problem and service management
- Lead P1/P2 incident recovery and coordinate troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, database and network teams.
- Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, known-error management and the reduction of recurring incidents.
- Maintain SLA and KPI performance across Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request and operational-risk processes.
- Establish proactive support practices to improve operational resilience and reduce downtime.
- Lead post-incident reviews and continual improvement activities.
Service transition and operational readiness
- Lead due diligence, knowledge acquisition, service transition and operational takeover activities.
- Conduct shadow, reverse-shadow and knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Establish operational readiness across documentation, monitoring, runbooks, access management, escalation paths, capacity planning, security controls and disaster recovery.
- Own early-life support and stabilisation for transitioned services.
Integration assurance and platform governance
- Maintain the operational reliability of APIs, interfaces, web services, message flows and enterprise integrations.
- Monitor integration transactions and service-orchestration health across enterprise applications.
- Drive reconciliation and validation across upstream and downstream systems.
- Identify performance degradation, bottlenecks and service failures and coordinate appropriate remediation.
- Govern middleware-estate security, compliance and audit requirements.
Middleware platform administration and support
- Manage Oracle WebLogic domains, clusters, managed servers and application deployments.
- Support Oracle SOA composites, BPEL processes, Mediators, Adapters and OSB services.
- Administer Oracle WCC repositories, content workflows, storage utilisation and service availability.
- Perform environment validation, deployment verification and patch-coordination activities.
- Drive middleware performance tuning and service optimisation.
Automation, observability and continual improvement
- Automate health checks, service validation, deployment verification, housekeeping and operational reporting using Shell Scripting, WLST, SQL and relevant automation tools.
- Develop proactive monitoring, dashboards and alerting using enterprise observability platforms.
- Apply automation, SRE practices and AI-driven operational insights to improve efficiency.
- Use operational trends to reduce Mean Time To Restore (MTTR), recurring incidents and manual operational effort.
- Improve monitoring coverage, alert thresholds and proactive issue detection.
