About this Role
What you’ll do
- Review escalations from first-line screening by analysing transaction details, data accuracy, and contextual information.
- Conduct detailed due diligence on target entities, including ownership and control structures, and develop clear organisational mappings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and validate relevant transaction and entity information.
- Assess regulatory restrictions by evaluating sanctions frameworks (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN) and export control regulations.
- Determine business impact, including restrictions, prohibitions, or licensing requirements.
- Escalate confirmed cases to relevant decision-making authorities and document findings clearly.
- Provide oversight of first-line screening activities to ensure quality and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement of trade compliance processes and frameworks.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to data control standards.
- Address queries promptly and contribute to efficient case resolution.
Who you are
- An individual with a strong understanding of export controls and global sanctions frameworks.
- Experienced in compliance, risk management, or investigative roles (typically 1–3 years).
- Skilled in conducting due diligence on complex organisational structures and identifying ownership patterns.
- Confident in interpreting regulatory requirements and assessing transactional risks.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to make informed decisions based on data and regulations.
- Effective at stakeholder collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams.
