What you’ll do

Role purpose:

To coordinate and execute site acquisition, land rights administration, statutory approvals and

permitting activities required for telecommunications infrastructure deployment. The role

supports the achievement of rollout objectives by facilitating regulatory approvals, engaging

stakeholders, managing consultants, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and

MAST policies within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Who you are

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

· Coordinate end-to-end site acquisition and permitting activities for assigned telecommunications infrastructure projects.

· Secure land rights, landlord consents, municipal approvals and statutory permits in accordance with regulatory requirements and MAST standards.

· Engage and maintain relationships with municipalities, regulatory authorities, landlords, consultants and internal stakeholders to facilitate approvals.

· Monitor progress against programme milestones, identify risks and escalate delays to management with recommended interventions.

· Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting and administration of site acquisition documentation and permitting activities.

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

· Sound knowledge of telecommunications site acquisition and permitting processes.

· Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.

· Planning, coordination and project administration capabilities.

· Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within tight deadlines. 

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Property Studies, Town Planning or related field.

· Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in telecommunications site acquisition and permitting.

· Knowledge of municipal approval processes and relevant legislation.
