Regulatory Specialist
Role Purpose
This position ensures that the Regulatory Division operates with discipline, accuracy, and full visibility over all obligations and commitments. It significantly reduces the risk of missed deadlines, incomplete submissions, and poor follow-up with regulators.
Working with Head of Regulatory to :
(a) ensure that all regulatory obligations and deadlines are monitored and met on time;
(b) ensure that Regulatory submissions and correspondences are properly prepared, filed, and maintained in a structured and audit-ready manner;
(c) ensure all compliance matters are reported in accordance with company governance requirements and processes.
Role Requirement
Regulatory Compliance
• Maintain a comprehensive register of all regulatory obligations arising from Licences, Laws, regulations, directives, and decisions, Regulatory commitments and action plans.
• Monitor deadlines and follow up with responsible departments.
• Escalate overdue items and compliance risks.
• Prepare periodic compliance status reports.
• Maintain a master calendar covering reporting deadlines, licence renewals, scheduled meetings, consultation periods.
• Issue reminders and status updates to stakeholders.
Regulatory Administration
• Responsible of all administrative tasks within the Division
• Prepare, format, and submit regulatory filings, reports, and formal correspondence.
• Manage incoming and outgoing regulatory letters.
• Track acknowledgements, approvals, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain official templates, reference numbers, and filing registers.
• Organize internal and external meetings with regulators and government stakeholders.
• Prepare agendas, briefing packs, and supporting documents.
• Ensure timely completion of post-meeting commitments.
• Maintain a centralized repository of Regulatory submissions, Licences and approvals, Correspondence, Meeting minutes & Compliance evidence.
• Ensure documents are complete, version-controlled, and easily retrievable.
• Support Regulatory Managers in consolidating data and preparing submissions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in Regulatory affairs, compliance, legal administration
- Experience in telecommunications or another regulated sector could be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
