Role purpose

Join the Vodacom DRC team as a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. You will play a critical role in providing financial insights and projections to support strategic decision-making for the business. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and collaborating with various departments to ensure financial goals are met.You will be responsible for managing the weekly and monthly forecasting and reporting for internal and Vodacom Group.You will assist the Executive Head of Department (EHOD) for FP&A in setting the budget and Long Range Plans (LRP) for the business.You will assist the EHOD for FP&A in monthly performance reporting and monitoring.This role will require the individual to have analytical and forecasting skills,variance analysis and process improvement skills.The position will allow the individual to advance their stakeholder engagement skills as well as gain considerable stakeholder management experience as you work with the business to understand business drivers. In the role you will work closely with Finance Business Partners,Finance Operations and International Business Finance teams to provide insights on business performance and drivers.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

• Target Setting: Define financial and operational targets for the business based on inputs received from relevant sources 
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Co-ordinate the intra monthly forecast based upon accurate trending of key indices with strong focus on anticipating and managing month-end results, and on management actions for the following months.
• Stakeholder Management: Ensure alignment on statutory information, Group requirements and other stakeholder requirements.
• Financial Analysis : Build and maintain market models for variance analysis,trend analysis, and forecasting.
• Perfermance Management : Assist in monthly performance review process. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

• Communication/Presentation skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills to present to stakeholders and team members
• Technical skills – Budgeting,Forecasting and Variance Analysis.
• Analytical skills – Problem solving ability to identify where business KPI’s are off. 
• Team player - Excellent team player capable of supporting the different teams across Vodacom
• Problem solving and analytical skills - Result oriented and attention to details with high level of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Application knowledge: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
• University degree in finance, economics and/or business administration. 
• 3 – 5 years working experience in related discipline
• Fluency in French and English Language. 
• End-to-end knowledge of budgeting activities, including in-depth knowledge and understanding of Direct Cost/Opex management and Revenue activities 
• Ability to communicate at all levels (Front line to CFO) 
• Problem solving and analytical skills, result oriented and attention to details with high level of accuracy.
• Good understanding of HFM functionalities 
• Telecommunication experience would be advantageous
