Role overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Vodacom’s hiring strategy by ensuring effective recruitment processes and delivering excellent candidate experience. Working under the guidance of the Senior Manager Talent Acquisition, the role focuses on sourcing, attracting, and hiring quality talent for Job Level 4 and below, agency staff, and casual workers. The position requires strong stakeholder management, operational excellence, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Manage end-to-end recruitment for Job Level 4 and below, agency staff, and casual workers in line with the Resourcing Policy. 
•    Coordinate job advertisements, screening, assessments, interviews, and stakeholder communication. 
•    Execute agreed SLAs with business units and HRBPs to meet hiring expectations. 
•    Serve as the first point of contact for all recruitment matters within the assigned scope. 
•    Manage relationships with candidates, hiring managers, recruitment agencies, Group counterparts, and platform providers. 
•    Champion recruitment standards, ensuring consistent and aligned practices across the organization. 
•    Support recruitment-related projects and talent attraction programs such as Graduate Programs, Code Like a Girl, Apprenticeships, and internships. 
•    Identify opportunities for improvement and introduce practical solutions to enhance recruitment efficiency. 
•    Ensure effective use of all recruitment platforms including SuccessFactors, HireVue, recruitment mailboxes, and social media profiles. 
•    Maintain up-to-date recruitment reports, dashboards, and weekly statistics for leadership visibility. 
•    Ensure secure and accurate record-keeping of all recruitment activities in accordance with audit requirements. 
•    Manage the regret process to support positive candidate experience and timely feedback.

•Strong communication skills demonstrating tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity.
•Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and influence decisions.
•Ability to conduct competency‑based interviews and support hiring managers in the selection process.
•Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
•Data‑driven mindset with the ability to produce clear recruitment reports, dashboards, and insights.
•Strong problem‑solving capabilities and continuous improvement mindset.
•Understanding of employer branding principles to support talent attraction initiatives.
•High level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
•Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HRBPs and business stakeholders.
•Cultural awareness and adaptability to support recruitment across multiple regions.
•Good understanding of recruitment tools, processes, and strong ability to identify talent.


Experience
•Experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment cycles for multiple roles in a fast‑paced or high‑volume environment.
•Experience handling diverse sourcing strategies (digital sourcing, social media recruitment, talent pools, networking, etc.).
•Proficiency with HRIS and recruitment platforms such as SuccessFactors, HireVue, LinkedIn Recruiter, or equivalent ATS systems.
•Core HR professional with exposure and interest in resourcing.

Qualifications / Knowledge:

•Knowledge of labour laws and recruitment compliance requirements.
•Knowledge of employer branding basics and recruitment marketing (if desired
