Job Purpose

Finance Operations is responsible for managing key processes involved in ensuring the accuracy of actualaccounting information and preparing the financial statements. 
The key processes are owned by specificglobal process owners. In addition, Finance Operations manages systems strategy and governance, andmaster data.

Core Job Description

• Accounting and reporting of performance actuals

• Internal controls over financial reporting

• Governance (including supervisory and worker committee etc.)

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reconciliations and backing of all tax related accounts (customs, VAT, WHT, payroll taxes…)

• Ensure that all taxes are properly accounted for and withholding taxes retained as requested

• Ensure aged items in tax related accounts are properly reconciled and cleared

• Ensure review of all back up and review that declaration prepared by tax and regulatory team matchedaccounting

• Support any tax relevant duty

• Support the requirement for having a GCEC and OHADA compliant period end close process

• Execution of all general ledger standard controls and retention of audit evidence of the completed controls

• Maintain coding structures (General ledger, cost centre, profit centre) that meet both Group reporting andOHADA and GCEC analysis requirements.

• Comply with tax laws and relevant accounting principles and Group policies

• Support any relevant Tax duty

• The transactional processes & activities to ensure that processes for handling direct, indirect andwithholding taxes are performed in accordance with local tax statutory requirements and internal tax reportingis in accordance with Vodafone Group International Accounting Policies (VGIAP's).

• Manage preparation of corporate tax computations as completely and accurately as possible, for reviewand consolidation where needed by Tax teams.

• Preparation of withholding tax and indirect tax obligations subject only to high-level validation by the Taxteams.

• Participate and provide input on how to improve on tax process

• Align on requests from regulatory, legal or tax team

• Assist manager OHADA and Vodacash in preparation of statutory accounts

• Ensure all tax account are reconciled in Cadency tool

Skills: qualifications and experience

• University degree in finance, economics and,or business administration.

• 3 + years experience in transactional operational environment

• SOX, IFRS, OHADA and GCEC knowledge

• ERP operational knowledge

• Keen on controls & financial discipline
