What you’ll do
Role purpose:
A highly technical Engineer responsible for operating, managing, and supporting the platforms and services that enable the Software Development Lifecycle. The engineer ensures reliable and efficient operation of core platform services such as version control, artifact management, CI/CD automation, application runtimes, and the environments that support the full path from development to production. The focus is on stability, observability, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the platform tools that underpin all in-house applications.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure 24/7/365 platform availability and high reliability of core services.
- Maintain and troubleshoot platform services, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurring issuesMonitor performance, optimize capacity and resource usage, and control operational costs across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Automate routine operational tasks and enhance platform observability and alerting systems.
- Resolve incidents and support tickets promptly to maintain service levels and minimize impact.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain foundational systems required for reliable operations.
- Validate platform changes with automated tests to ensure stability and prevent regressions.
What we are looking in you:
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python).
- Monitoring, alerting, and observability tools experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts (Terraform, Ansible).
- Fluent in English for reading and listening comprehension.Proficiency in Network Essentials (IP, DNS, TCP/UDP) for troubleshooting and optimizing application connectivity.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its operational implications.
- Skilled in deploying, operating, and maintaining software in production environments.
- Ability to learn quickly and react promptly.
- Strong self-prioritization skills.
- Open-Source solutions-oriented.
