Head of Financial Services Technology

O que irá fazer

Role purpose: The Head of Financial Services will manage and steer the planning, development, implementation, and operation of the company’s financial services platforms (Mpesa). The role will ensure world class Financial Services platform fully aligned with Commercial strategies and demand and Group strategy. The role is also accountable to drive agile delivery of new financial service capabilities.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Business Driven financial services (Mpesa) roadmap planning, delivery and operation
• Efficient and scalable IT architectures and designs for financial services aligned with group and local technical standards and policies
• Agile and PI based development of new and enhancement of existing financial capabilities
• 24/7/365 operation to ensure high availability of all platforms, applications and financial services
• Operate Service Desk to act as a financial service back office for Customer Operations (COPS)    

Core competencies, knowledge and experience
• 8+ years management experience in an ICT environment, of which at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
• Ability to translate product strategies in a vision and roadmap for financial services architecture
• Effective management of a complex organization of professionals and other stakeholders (vendors, government) providing leadership, problem solving and fast decision making.
• Deep knowledge of Digital IT and financial services architectures.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong team with the right expertise and qualities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic business environment.

Must have technical / professional qualifications
• University Degree such as BSC in Telecom and / or IT as a minimum (preferably postgraduate)
