What you’ll do
Role purpose:
The Senior Fraud and Forensics Analyst is responsible for leading advanced fraud detection, prevention, and quality assurance initiatives within the organization. This role ensures the integrity of fraud monitoring systems, optimizes investigative processes, and drives continuous improvement in fraud prevention strategies. The Senior Analyst leverages deep technical expertise, data analytics, and automation to mitigate fraud risks and safeguard organizational assets.
Key Accountabilities:
• Oversee continuous monitoring of fraud detection tools and alerts to identify suspicious activities, including SIM card misuse and subscription fraud.
• Validate and enhance fraud detection models to improve accuracy.
• Conduct thorough investigations into fraud incidents, collaborating with technical teams to gather evidence and understand the methods used.
• Develop and maintain QA processes for fraud monitoring systems, ensuring alerts and reports meet defined standards.
• Conduct periodic audits of fraud detection workflows and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed reports on fraud incidents, trends, and remediation progress for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain and enhance the Fraud Control Tracker to monitor remediation progress and ensure accountability.
• Implement automation solutions to reduce manual workload and improve detection efficiency.
• Establish and maintain robust identity verification processes to prevent subscription fraud and identity-related scams.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on fraud incidents and effectively communicate findings to management and relevant authorities.
• Maintain a Fraud Control Tracker to monitor remediation progress
• Coordinate with relevant teams to confirm incidents and initiate responses.
• Strong understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, policies, and investigative techniques to prevent sensitive data breaches.
What we are looking in you:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, science, or a related subject.
• At least 5 years of experience in fraud monitoring, risk, audit, or data analytics.
• Proven ability to utilize tools such as Python, Power BI, and other analytics platforms to extract insights, identify complex fraud patterns, and support strategic decision-making.
• Extensive knowledge of telecommunications systems, network protocols, and industry-specific fraud patterns, with the ability to anticipate emerging threats.
• Expertise in developing and implementing proactive security strategies using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and advanced analytics to enhance fraud prevention, streamline detection, and reduce investigation case volumes
• GSM Forensic Analysis is essential
• Strong capability to lead investigations, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate across technical and operational teams to drive fraud risk management initiatives.
• Telecommunications Expertise: In-depth knowledge of telecommunications systems, network protocols, and industry-specific fraud patterns.
• Data Analytics: Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging data analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, and other relevant platforms to extract insights, identify fraud patterns, and support investigative decision-making.
• Proactive Security and Automation: Ability to develop and implement proactive security strategies aligned with emerging fraud trends, leveraging Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and data analytics to enhance fraud prevention, streamline detection processes, and reduce investigation case volumes.
