What you’ll do

Role purpose:

 

The Terminals Specialist within the Vodacom Business (VB) division is responsible for the end-to-end management, governance, and optimization of all enterprise terminals including mobile devices, fixed connectivity equipment, IoT devices, and other business-related hardware solutions.
This role ensures seamless planning, sourcing, lifecycle management, and commercial alignment of terminals to support enterprise sales and customer solutions. The specialist collaborates closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and Technology teams to ensure optimal availability, competitive pricing, and strategic device portfolio management.
The role also plays a critical part in identifying market trends, informing product strategy, and driving the launch of new terminal solutions tailored for the enterprise segment, ensuring alignment with Vodacom Business commercial objectives and customer needs.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Terminal Portfolio Ownership: Own and manage the VB terminals portfolio full life cycle, including mobile devices, fixed connectivity equipment, IoT devices, and other enterprise hardware, ensuring alignment with enterprise customer needs and commercial strategy;
  • Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management: Collaborate with Sales and Supply Chain teams to forecast terminal demand, manage stock levels, and ensure timely procurement and availability to support enterprise sales opportunities;
  • Device Strategy & Market Insights: Work closely with Product Owners to monitor market trends, provide insights on terminal technologies, and recommend improvements or additions to the enterprise device portfolio;
  • Enterprise Terminal Launches & Commercial Readiness: Drive the introduction and commercialization of new terminals for the enterprise segment, ensuring alignment across pricing, sales enablement, and operational readiness;
  • Operational Governance & Performance Monitoring: Manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with company policies and processes, and provide regular reporting and insights on terminal performance, stock levels, and forecasts;
  • Forecast Accuracy: Achieve ≥ 85% accuracy in terminal demand forecasts;
  • Terminal Availability & Inventory Efficiency: Maintain ≥ 95% availability of approved terminals while ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing stock-outs;
  • Order Fulfillment Rate: Achieve ≥ 98% on-time and in-full order fulfillment;

 

 

What we are looking in you:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, Finance, or related field;
  • 3–5 years of experience in Telecommunications, ICT, Device Management, Supply Chain, or Product Management environments;
  • Proven experience in terminal/device portfolio management, procurement, or supply chain coordination;
  • Strong knowledge of device lifecycle management and terminal ecosystems;
  • Familiarity with forecasting tools and inventory management systems;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to operational efficiency;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams;
  • English proficiency.
