Position:               Senior Specialist: Learning and Development

Report to:             EHOD: Human Resources

Department:         Human Resources

Job Purpose:

To drive organisational capability, performance management, talent management and diversity and inclusion strategies that drive Vodacom Lesotho's business objectives, and people priorities. The role is responsible for a high performance culture, strengthening leadership capabilities, enhancing employee growth and engagement and fostering an inclusive workplace where diverse talent can thrive and contribute to business success. 

Job Accountabilities:

  • To implement the company's Learning and Development strategy
  • To manage the Learning and Development of the workforce
  • To assess the skills and knowledge gaps within the company
  • To manage the capability assessment and building of an organisation's identified talent
  • To develop and implement an effective Talent Management plan strategy
  • To liaise with HR Business Partners, other HR centres of expertise, key business stakeholhers and representation of Vodacom and external organisations in identifying critical talent
  • To partner with Business to assess the skills and knowledge required for futute roles within the company in line with the company strategy
  • To manage the performance management process
  • To develop, implement and monitor programs that promote diversity & inclusion within the company
  • To liaise with diversity and inclusion centres of expertise, key business stakeholders and representation of vodacom and external organisations in order to keep current on diversity programs and developments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or B-Tech in Human Resources Management plus 3 years relevant work experience
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management plus 5 years relevant work experience

  • Ability to deliver and meet deadlines
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Ability to effectively work in a team
  • Strong computer literacy, conversant with Word, Excel, Power Point & MS Microsoft
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Sesotho, orally and in writing
  • Profound customer service skills
  • Ability to resolve conflict
