Role Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Technology Officer is responsible for:
The company's technological vision, strategy, and execution. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of technological infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and supports innovation and growth. The CTO also manages technology budgets, leads the technology team, and fosters strategic partnerships.
Their primary responsibility is to ensure the seamless deployment of cutting-edge technologies, while leading and inspiring a team of developers and/or tech leads to success.
Key Accountabilities
Provide leadership and oversight to Billing and IT, Core Networks, Radio Access Networks, Project Management, and Technology Governance functions at Vodacom Lesotho;
Drive the Vodacom Lesotho Technology Strategy in line with Group, Local Operations, and National objectives;
Co-create, support, and enable the Vodacom Lesotho Business Strategy, including localising Vodacom Group strategy objectives;
Develop business cases for investments related to the VCL Technology investments in order to ensure the most strategic use of VCL funds;
Ensure the maximum return on investment with regards to technology CAPEX outlays, and continuously find efficiencies with regards to the technology and OPEX costs;
Provide technology solutions and services in line with business requirements, industry and global standards, and the Vodacom Group Technology Strategy;
Advise on project conceptualization, selection, and prioritization in order to ensure the achievement of business and technology objectives;
Monitor and report on the implementation of projects and programmes in order to ensure the effective implementation of the modernization roadmap;
Ensure the achievement of the Vodacom sustainability goals including the effective management of energy and ensuring that operations cause no harm to the environment;
Ensure that all Network and IT KPI’s are met as agreed with business, defined in the Group IT and Network performance matrices, as well as relevant regulations, standards, and stakeholder commitments;
Multi-vendor management - Huawei, NSN, Atos, 4CIT, VAS-X, Vodacom South Africa - ensuring that SLA’s are included in contracts and managed effectively.

Qualifications and Experience
Degree in the field of information Technology or Equivalent;
Masters degree a technology of leadership field is an added advantage;
Min 10 years of management experience in the technology function, 5 of which would ideally be in a senior management role;
Demonstrable experience in managing large scale projects and technology implementations;
