Role Purpose
The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and leading the implementation of solutions and capability architecture for Vodacom Business customers, while actively engaging with clients to understand their needs and translate them into compelling, scalable solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen to support sales teams in positioning and selling solutions to clients across all levels of the organization - from operational teams to C-suite executives.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with Sales and Account Managers to co-create client solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical feasibility.
- Lead technical pre-sales engagements, including presentations, demos, and workshops tailored to different client audiences.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions that resonate with decision-makers.
- Support the development of client proposals, RFP responses, and solution roadmaps.
- Build trusted relationships with clients by acting as a technical advisor and strategic partner.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis, or another related field
- 3 to 4 years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment
- Extensive exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
- Extensive experience in business capability modelling and technical and solution architecture development in a digital business context
- Professional experience and knowledge of digital and Telecommunications industries strongly preferred
- Experience in client-facing roles, including presentations, workshops, and negotiations
