Role Purpose/Business Unit:

 

To lead Vodacom Group’s “One More Service” ambition by identifying, partnering and scaling content adoption across the 8 Vodacom markets. This individual will lead a team of individuals who integrate meaningful content into our value propositions through frictionless customer journeys.    

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Craft the Vodacom Content & Platform Strategy. 
  • Identify and strategically partner with content providers across our 8 operating markets.
  • Establish and Build Relationships with partners to ensure our partnerships deliver value to our customers and stays relevant. 
  • Negotiate preferential terms and craft agreements with the partners ensuring we leverage our scale and deliver value. 
  • Integrate content into our propositions to unlock synergies across our product offerings & reduce churn.  
  • Drive adoption and scale of partnerships through carefully crafted marketing and promotions to unlock content potential.
  • Scale platforms related to content and one more service.
  • Design and implement omnichannel CX journeys eliminating friction and promoting adoption.
  • Ensure that we build trust with customers and deliver on the desired business case.  

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

  • Matric – Essential
  • 3 - 4 year Degree/Diploma – Essential
  • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous 
  • Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience -essential  
  • Telecommunication experience-advantage
  • 5 Years management/supervisory experience - essential


Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Knowledge of the ICT industry and value chain including content
  • Tariffs and pricing Knowledge 
  • Digital platforms Knowledge 
  • Negotiating skills
  • Financial modelling skills
  • Commercial acumen
