Role Purpose/Business Unit:

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physical Security and Investigation Specialist with expertise in investigations, fraud awareness, physical and travel security, to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective results through a consistent approach, and to ensure that Vodafone and Vodacom policies and procedures are cascaded consistently and appropriately conformed to by the Vodacom IB markets.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Providing oversight and guidance to the markets on how to conduct thorough fraud and physical security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating and sharing knowledge with the local markets on physical security measures and travel security protocols in line with Vodafone and Vodacom Policies.
  • Working together and sharing expertise with local markets to identify and investigate fraudulent activities. When necessary, prepare disciplinary documentation and provide testimony at disciplinary hearings.
  • Consolidating the various fraud and security awareness initiatives and strategies across all markets. The goal is to positively influence behaviors to mitigate fraud- and security-related threats and risks.    
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the effectiveness of existing fraud control baselines, detection and prevention measures implemented by the local markets, providing recommendations for enhancements and/ or new approaches to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensuring the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across all local markets.
  • Collaborate with regional and global fraud management teams to align fraud oversight practices, share insights, best practices, and promote consistency in fraud prevention and detection approaches.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

  • A three-year bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, law, or criminal justice.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in a field related to fraud detection or prevention or physical security.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of fraud prevention and detection methodologies, techniques, and best practices in the telecommunications services sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications sector environment.
  • CFE accreditation and financial payments investigation experience will and added advantage
