The role is accountable for growing and driving customer engagement across all relevant digital platforms, including customer adoption of digital sales and self-service channels. The role will provide clear direction for paid media across the whole Vodacom business, working in close coordination with the Brand, Segment and Digital Channel squads. Outputs include driving paid strategies and plans to deliver on overall brand and commercial goals within the various business units. The function plays a primary role in driving the optimisation of the overall behavioural measurement score (BMS) for brand consideration and digital channel experience (TNPS), as well as revenue generated through digital channels and associated cost savings. 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Take full end-to-end responsibility of paid biddable media advertising channels, with a clear focus on performance-based, sales-driving reach and targeting activities  
  • Lead paid biddable media advertising activities, including campaign and targeting strategies, KPIs and targets
  • Effective analysis and use of data in driving targeted campaigns, contributing to the overall digital marketing and sales targets
  • Drive breakthrough digital marketing innovation

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

 

  • Matric  and 3 year Business related Degree or National Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience essential
  • Practical experience in implementing campaigns across platforms. 
  • Google, Meta and TikTok qualifications beneficial

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

 

Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience essential in:

  • Paid biddable media platforms including product feeds and account automation tools
  • Driving commercial & operational targets – sales, revenue, profitability, user experience quality measures, adoption of the products and services
  • Experience in managing digital media campaign for large consumer facing brands with large media spends.
  • Creating strategic plans to win market share from competitors 
  • Capable of working in a complex matrix organisation and able to build strong relationships and credibility with multiple levels both internally and externally
