What you’ll do

Role purpose:

The office administrator will ensure smooth running of our offices and contribute to driving sustainable growth. An Office Administrator oversees all things administrative and is responsible for the overall operations of their office, including activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accurately track and report on contractors onboarded, offboarded, and absenteeism, as the link between Region and Vodacom HR.
  • Provide direct admin support as needed, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, maintaining office files, mailing, and shipping packages.
  • Manage all aspects of space/infrastructure planning (ex: moves, additions, changes to workstations) and provide answers, resources, and solutions when requested.
  • Oversee and maintain office facilities and equipment for uninterrupted function, identify needs and acquire supplies, manage vendor relationships
  • Provide admin support (including court visits) and report HSE/Risk, Security related concerns to Health, Safety & Environment & Corporate Security department

 

What we are looking in you:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource, Operations Management or relevant field is preferred. Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage.
  • Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
  • Basic Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable handling confidential information.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
