Application Engineer
What you’ll do
To define, design and implement innovative solutions in the area of Value Added Services to cope with Local/Global marketing requirements or technology evolution inside the European Region
To coordinate and manage vendor activities during the project deployment
To grant the testing process to ensure the appropriate quality in the delivery phase, delivering high quality products and solutions
To drive Value Added Services features and platform evolution hosted inside the European Region, through harmonization & hosting projects, in cooperation with local and global Vodafone operators.
Key Accountabilities :
• Development and introduction of new SIM/e-SIM platforms and profiles
• SIM team representation on Vodafone Group Opco and Group Technology Projects
• in-house software developments on internal integration platforms (API exposure Gateway solution)- maintain and support in-house development source code
• manage the delivery of small to medium sized projects (local or cross country) from start to finish
• in-house software developments on internal integration platforms;
• certification & testing activities: Perform acceptance testing, negotiate with appropriate stakeholders
Who you are
• Relevant degree in Telecoms / Computer Science broader areas
• High level of written and spoken English
• Knowledge of telecoms technologies, in particular technical skills related to Value Added Services, Core Network, IP Services
• Knowledge of telecoms technologies, in particular technical skills on :
• API integration development
• Java / Java EE
• XML / XSD
• Web Services (including WSDL SOAP, RESTful, JSON)
• HTML/CSS/Javascript
• Oracle/SQL
