What you’ll do
As Data Platforms and Smart Services Senior Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the definition and validation of the high-level architecture, HLD and LLD in technical areas managed by the Team (PCRF, SecureNet and DNS, MPN, Steering function, Traffic Optimization). You’ll be involved in the selection of vendors and you’ll have the technical leadership of defining configuration guidelines and setting sizing and functionality/performance targets. You’ll elaborate and maintain a medium/long term evolution plan aligned with the overall Data Core strategy and other technology areas such as Packet Core and IP LAN.
You will take on the support and execution of solution acceptance and assist in the deployment of the platforms with the Engineering Delivery Team. In addition, you will deliver innovative technology products for Vodafone Business customers by combining applied methodologies and innovative thinking. You’ll be responsible for the high-value design specifications and solutions for those customers.
You’ll express your technical leadership in a multi-national virtual project team, interacting with other senior engineers and with relevant internal customers and stakeholders. In this context the ability to manage and negotiate on priorities is fundamental.
Who you are
- University degree: telecommunication degree, more than 3/5 years of experience.
- Solid knowledge of Mobile NW architecture
- Good stakeholder’s management
- Analytical skills to address complexity of requirements, scenarios and change
- Strong cost and performance orientation with experience in complex project management
- Ability to work in virtual team across multi-functional and multi-cultural boundaries to deliver results/change
- Project Management skills
- Innovative and results oriented
