Deployment Technical Engineering Authority
What you’ll do
As a Deployment Technical Engineering Authority you will have top Lead and execute deployment projects (International Network Build) of variable risk and complexity. Core International Network technologies are predominately Transmission, AS1273 and Global IP, Typical vendors are Ciena, Huawei, Juniper and Cisco so a strong working and engineering knowledge of these technologies is essential. In addition, provide technical support to Deployment Specialist community with the day to day administration of all deployment requests
• Manage, support, maintain and control the build of the global network site infrastructure within the assigned geography.
• Work with deployment specialist community to maintain accurate status of all deployment requests & collaborate to resolve issues and remove barriers.
• maintain strong relationship with all Deployment Specialists. Become familiar , work within and manage process for site access of contractors as required.
• Ensure that any work performed by our third party installtion and FLM partners is completed to the Vodafone build standards, and challenge where required.
Who you are
• High customer focused individual who is self driven towards defined goals
• Minimum 3 years experience in telecommunications field or Network operations environment demonstrating a strong background in transmission and data platform builds; with a clear understanding of the technologies used within Vodafone
• Proven ability to investigate problem situations, consider key perspectives, analyse needs, evaluate options and define user requirements
• Capable of working in virtual teams in cross cultural working environment and at times of heavier workload to drive solutions
• Strong team player with proven record of achieving goals set
• HNC or above in Engineering or Relevant technical experience
• Minimum of 3 years project & programme management experience
