What you’ll do

As a Fixed Access & Delivery Engineer you will be part of Fixed Access Engineering department and will deliver Fixed Architecture & Services including services deployed in Data Center in FAE scope. The role will include the relationship with internal VF Stakeholder, vendors, integrators, third parties. 

In the following the main responsibilities:

•    High Layer Design (HLD): Work with all Verticals to finalize an optimal High-level design.
•    Engineering: Translate the High-Level Design in a low-level design including the definition of the resources, connectivity and all configurations needed by Security & HLD
•    Cyber Security: Guarantee Cyber Security compliance accordingly to VF guideline: 

o    Get the approval of Security by Design 
o    Keep in good state dealing with CSAN (vulnerability bulletins)
o    Executing recurrent VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Tests)

•    Delivery: Manage, with the support of vendors and/or VF Operations & Deployment, the installation and configuration of all elements in FAE scope
•    Acceptance & MOP: Manage the acceptance in TC, Mop (Method of Procedure) and FoA (First Office Application) for the activities in FAE scope.
•    LCM: Manage with vendors and Operations Life Cycle Management of the technologies in FAE scope
•    Asset Management: to manage the asset inventory updates for the technologies in FAE scope.

 

Who you are

•    Design and delivery of Fixed Network elements and services
•    Delivery of FAE application in Data Center 
•    Engineering support to Troubleshooting e2e
•    LCM (Life Cycle Management)
•    CSB compliance
•    Network:

o    Fiber Access Design & Architecture,(FTTH/FTTx): ONT/OLT (Nokia), DSLAM (Nokia, Zhone)
o    Carrier Ethernet Architectures (E-LINE, E-LAN, E-TREE, EVPN), L3VPN concepts, Intranet, Infranet
o    Wholesales Architectures & services 
o    Evolutive architectures (Cloud, SDN, NFV) 
o    Access protocols PPPoE, DHCP 
o    QoS classification and marking, congestion management and scheduling (policing, shaping, and queuing), congestion avoidance

•    Platforms: Experience in delivering platform on Data Center (Dell, HP) 
•    Applications layer: In FAE scope like NMS (Nokia AMS, NA-C, PCRF) 
•    Provisioning in order to deal with interworking and integration   with OSS via NBI interface protocols  (SNMP, TL1, OSI, xml, etc.) or new SDN paradigma
