What you’ll be doing:

Management of local and central Vodafone Group demands & projects in the OSS Performance Management, Analytics and Big Data solutions area, in line with the business needs and strategies.
Management of the complete Project life cycle for the OSS Performance Management tools: supplier mgmt, requirements & demands analysis, solution design, implementation, project mgmt, security & hardening, capacity mgmt, KPIs definition and monitoring, budget mgmt & harmonization.

A day in your life will include:

•    Performance Management systems: strategy, design, architecture, implementation, consolidation. 
•    Design the Software Architecture of needed system included in the Performance Management domain in terms of design principles, functional blocks and interfaces. 
•    Project Management and delivery of local and central projects, where different international teams are involved (customers, providers, designers, administrators, developers, or O&M technicians),
•    Budget ownership planning and execution.
•    Testing of services/applications together with the clients in order to ensure that implemented solutions are responding to the clients’ needs.
•    Define test lists, plan and execute validation activities together with OSS team and clients.
•    Capacity & Life Cycle management of the Performance Management tools (software and hardware).
•    Management of the Hardening and Security requirements and activities related to the Performance Management systems.
•    Design/Delivery of user demands/needs in Kibana and Google Cloud Platform tools.
•    Design and implementation of new performance management & data collection solutions following new users’ demands.
•    Design/Delivery of user demands/needs in Performance Management solutions (such as Cacti, Grafana, Prometheus…) and Data collection/management tools (such as Nifi, Kafka…). Checks feasibility of demands regarding to business needs.

What we’re looking for:

•    Engineering degree (Bachelor / Master) in telecommunications or computer science or equivalent.
•    Very good communication and information skills.
•    Customer oriented and systematic way of working.
•    Deep knowledge of telecommunication business in terms of IT and Network technologies (Radio Access, Core, IMS, Fixed Access, Transport & Transmission).
•    Experience in OSS systems, especially Performance Management.
•    Excellent knowledge of Big Data and Analytics solutions: ETL, Big Data framework tools (Kubernetes, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka…), SQL scripting, Business Intelligence tools.
•    Knowledge & experience with Performance Management solutions (such as Cacti, Grafana, Prometheus…) and Data collection/management tools (such as Nifi, Kafka…).
•    Knowledge & experience with Elastic/Kibana and Google Cloud Platform tools: requirements definition with the users and its analysis, design & implementation in Kibana and the Google tools (such as Big Query).
•    Knowledge in web services & standard API environments, security.
•    Software development project management using Agile methodologies.
•    Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
•    Good communication & negotiation skills with customers & providers.
•    Good skills for working in international multicultural environments with distributed and remote teams.

Key performance indicators:

•    Consolidation of Performance Management systems locally and at European/Group level.
•    Customer satisfaction from the assigned markets.
•    Timeliness and Quality in Delivery according to requirements
•    Software solutions delivered for external clients - ensure consistence and coherence.
•    Delivery of demands requested by the VF-Portugal an European users.
