What you’ll do

As a Sr. Expert Network Engineer you will lead in a range of network solution engineering and software engineering activities related to assessing, planning, designing, implementating and evolving IMS network solutions according to market priorities, technology evolution, group strategy recommendations, quality/security assurance, business continuity planning and customer experience excellence. 
  
•    Lead the evolution of the IMS Core Network by proactively providing and promoting ideas while being independent and self-responsible around design and optimization of IMS solutions, including also the introduction of Cloud Native, digital automation and other innovative technologies
•    Actively lead the Feasibility Analysis during the conceptual assessment of a demand and drive the High/Low Level Solution Design during the deployment phase around technical solutions impacting the IMS network functions
•    Lead the IMS network planning and SW engineering, with strong focus on meeting targets for traffic growth and quality/performance KPIs, while ensuring the best network quality, customer experience excellence, operational simplicity and efficiency on resources
•    Drive the harmonization and consolidation on design, planning and deployment activities across the different markets and ensure consistent introduction and evolution of new technologies
•    Work within Technology Strategy Guidance on the evolution and roadmap of the IMS software applications, influencing it to consider real-life use of the software, to address its limitations, as well as to make it better suited to the needs of the company in terms of cost, efficiency, reliability, scalability, ease of operation, etc. 

Who you are

•    Degree in Electrical/Electronic Telecommunications Engineering and/or Computer Science
•    Ability to work in an international framework across multi-functional and multi-cultural boundaries to drive results and improve performance 
•    Ability to adapt and manage efficiently changes 
•    Very deep knowledge of core network architectures and protocols, with specific reference to the IMS core based networking and solutions
•    Several years of experience in planning, design, engineering, testing or even advanced support within mobile and/or fixed network area of a telecom operator
•    At least 3 years of working experience in the field of telecommunications technology around deployment and evolution of telecommunications systems and products/services
•    Knowledge of Voice and IP Network communications, interfaces and protocols for mobile/fixed networking in parallel with high eligibility on working with network tracing tools
•    Technical leadership skills for the decisive design of specialist topics and representation of positions, together with the ability to drive technical discussions from an e2e Solution Authority role among diverse internal/external stakeholders
•    Nice to have a relevant working experience in agile way of working (preferably using SAFe), the Lean-Agile mindset and agile transformation 
•    Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
