Voice IMS Senior Engineer
What you’ll do
As a Voice IMS Sr. Engineer you will ensure the stability and uninterrupted operation of Voice Core network systems, applications, and services. It aims to maintain and improve service levels for customers at minimal cost, contributing to company profitability and growth through innovative thinking and independent work.
You will participate in a standby scheme, providing 24x7 network and services support, and will work outside regular hours to perform various activities as described above.
In detailed your activities will include:
• Delivering 2nd level technical support, preventive and corrective maintenance, and performance management for optimal Voice Core network operation
• Configuring, upgrading, and expanding fixed and mobile telephony systems
• Managing and implementing fixed and mobile voice-related projects
• Troubleshooting technical problems in telephony systems and networks, and following up with vendors. Providing expert support for customer voice-related technical problems
• Testing, verifying, and accepting new voice systems, functionalities, and services
Who you are
• High problem-solving capability due to the complexity and variety of network-related issues
• Ability to apply virtual team management principles, as part of the department’s workforce is geographically dispersed
• Innovative thinking to drive the ongoing transformation of working processes and align with evolving business needs
• Excellent analysis and investigation skills for complex technical issues/problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team
• Engineering Degree, preferably in Telecoms
• Very good command of English, with fluent verbal and written communication.
• At least 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of mobile and IMS systems
• Very good knowledge of communication protocols, including SIP, ISUP, H.248, DIAMETER, MAP, SCCP, TCAP, and CAMEL
• Proven troubleshooting capabilities in telephony systems and networks
• Experience in performance and fault management
• Knowledge of IP protocols, nice to have
• Knowledge of OS systems (Linux), nice to have
