Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a Resident IT Manager with foundational knowledge of Power BI to support our organization IT infrastructure and assist with basic data analytics tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn and grow their skills in Power BI while managing day to day IT operations.
Responsibilities
Manage the organization IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and security. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users for IT related issues. Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications. Manage IT projects from conception to completion, including resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication. Collaborate with department heads and business leaders to understand IT needs and priorities and align IT initiatives with organizational goals. Monitor IT infrastructure performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and mitigate risks. Stay informed about emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the IT industry, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization. Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring the delivery of high quality products and services within budget. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving IT related issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with IT team members to ensure data integrity, security, and backup procedures are in place. Develop basic Power BI reports and dashboards under the guidance of senior analysts or managers. Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements for Power BI projects. Conduct basic data analysis tasks, such as data cleaning, transformation, and visualization using Power BI. Stay updated on Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends through self-learning and training sessions. Assist in user training and adoption efforts to promote the use of Power BI within the organization. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely solutions.

* Completes administrative activities through the identification of business requirements and IT database needs including coordination of security, maintenance and utilisation;
* Supports the team with activities related to optimisation, performing regular system reviews and pro-active performance and resilience improvements to provide best customer experience;
* Provides direction on improvement for Vodafone Infrastructure Management practices and procedures to support the achievement of the Technology strategy;
* Monitors, reviews and resolves incidents/problems;
* Maintains solid relations with internal and external partners;
* Has a good understanding about IT/Network infrastructure across firewalls, file transfer protocols, proxy servers, data centres, cloud, virtualisation, storage and backup areas;
* Uses best practice knowledge to keep the consistency in infrastructure compliancy to Vodafone Group standards;
* Understands the theories and practices across the service performance spectrum, managing refresh and/or decommissioning programmes that improve service availability effectiveness;
* Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.
